Introducing Raven Stormwing!

After two weeks, Izzy and I finally returned to school. As we walked into Dayview High, we were greeted by a lot of the other kids, including the popular kids who had previously told us to "Go die in a hole, you stupid freaks."."Hmm... apparently the 'stupid freaks' have a schoolwide fan club."."Yeah, that's cool and all but doesn't it seem a little suspicious to you Izzy?"."Not really. I mean, come on, it's hard not to love us." She glanced at me and said,"Well, atleast me."."Yeah right. You have the appearance of a normal human. I have these bad boys." I pointed to my wings, and she gave me her signature 'fair enough' look. "So, are we going to meet up with our boyfriends for lunch?"."You go ahead. I'm still not so sure I can face them yet, regardless of if that was or wasn't them in the lab."."If you don't face them sooner or later, they might get kinda suspicious, don't you think? And even though Kai doesn't remember that, he's been really worried about you. I did my whole mind reading thing, and he's afraid that you've been cheating on him."."That idiot, I wouldn't cheat on him. Ugh, I guess we're going to have to explain to them what happened, but not at lunch. Invite them both over  and we can tell them after school."."Sounds good to me. Let's go eat with our boys, then.". Then, someone tapped on my shoulder."Um.. excuse me?". We both turned around to see a short, petite girl with long, straight black hair. "I heard you two talking about a lab? Do you mean the lab where they make chimeras and things like that?"."Wait...you've heard of this lab?"."Um...well, yes. I was actually born there. Some of the prisoners escaped a few weeks ago and helped me get out. I just hope my friend is okay... she was younger than we are.. she was a kitsune and dragon chimera...do you know what happened to her?". Izzy looked shocked and relieved all at the same time. "So you are the girl my sister won't stop talking about. Hi, Raven, I'm Izzy, Kat's older sister." All I was thinking by then was on the lines of Whaaaaaaaaat? "You're the ones who rescued us all! Thank you so much! Let me formally introduce myself, my name is Raven Stormwing, and I am a dark angel chimera." She looked puzzled while staring at my blacked wings. "Are you a chimera, too?". "Nope, I'm the real deal. And the correct term is 'fallen angel', thank you very much. My name is Rose.". "Come on Raven, you can come sit at our table with us. You should come over to my place later too."."Really?! That's very kind of you, thank you." And so on this day, we gathered more evidence that we aren't insane, and possibly a new friend.

Pain, Suffering, and Naomi Asuka

While staying low, I made many trips to Izzy's house, to do homework, hangout, and maybe get Kat to talk. When she finally did though, what she filled ours minds with was something that no human, chimera or angel or really any living creature should experience. She began with the first memory she had. She told Izzy, while I used my powers to read her mind myself and actually watch what happened. Until age two, she was able to stay home with their mom and just be a little kid. But not even a week after her second birthday, the lab broke into their house and kidnapped little Kat. When they tried to go out the door, a kitsune was blocking their way. Her mother had gone to her last resort to protect the only child she had left, and was going to do whatever she had to do to keep her safe. "Get out of the way you stupid mutt!"."She started to growl, and as it got louder, the ground started shaking. "Stupid...MUTT?! Do you know who I am? Do you even know what I am, or are you just that stupid? I am a kitsune, and I go by the name of Naomi Asuka, and you'd better give me back the child immediately, or else."."Or else what? You wouldn't dare hurt me while I'm holding the kid, now would you?" She growled, and then started glowing. "I can do you as much harm as I please without hurting her. Don't make me prove it.". He fell to his knees and started screaming. Kat who was now sitting on the ground beside him, looked at him and started giggling while the man dressed in black looked like he was having some sort of super seizure. Naomi grabbed the child and ran into the woods that surrounded their house. After running deep into the woods, she hid Kat in a hole under the tree. "Stay here sweetie, Mommy will be back soon." But she never came back. Some of the chimera's sniffed out her hiding spot and brought her to the men. During the long ride to the lab, the experimebting began. They took blood and skin sample to begin working on inserting the dragon DNA into her blood stream. The next 8 years were spent as a caged labrat, which involved many needles and a lot was taken from her in those long years. Her freedom, her kind heart, a lot of blood, and most of all, her innocence. After saying that, she stopped talking. "They... I'll kill them! I'll rip their ugly faces off snd stuff it down their throats! I'll...I'll -". I tapped her shoulder, and when she turned around I pointed at Kat, who was having a mental breakdown. "Izzy. She needs her sister to help her through this. I've been down that road, she might not ever get over this. Help her calm down, I'm going home." As I walked home, I got the feeling I was being followed, so I sped up. With it getting dark I was getting nervous, and then I heard a noise. The bushes in front of me rustled and out stepped a kitsune. I didn't know what to do, I wanted to run, but there was something about this one that seemed...familiar. She stood in front of me and looked me straight in the eyes. "Thank you, Rose, for rescuing my dear Katrinia and looking out for Izabella. Let them know I am well and alive, and plan to meet with them soon." With that, she disappeared into the night.

Alarms, Cyborgs, and The Lab is Going Down!

When I woke up, I was in my room, snuggled in my blanket on the bottom bunk. My noisy alarm clock was doing it's usual obnoxious beeping, so I pressed the snooze button and buried my head back underneath my pillow. But as soon as I laid back down, it all came back to me. Everything that had happened hit me all at once. The image of Kai, bloody and bruised, Izzy and Kat being untied and let out of the glass chamber, and... Rain and Lily. My only reminder that I had really been an angel and not just some winged freak...my only proof of home...my only family on Earth...they were gone. It wasn't long before the sobs hit me, and the only reason I stopped was because my alarm went off again. I forced myself out of the bed, careful not to hit my head on the top bunk like I did in our prison cell. As soon as I went downstairs, I was greeted by Ms. G, our "care-taker" in the foster home. "Some of your friends told me where you've been..."."What do you mean?"." It was Kai's brother. He said you had been on a school trip somewhere out of state. Did you have fun?"."Oh, that... not really... Rain and Lily decided to stay there..."."Well, that's a shame. Leaving their sister here by herself."."Yeah.. I'm going to school now.". As she gave me the usual good-bye hug and blueberry muffin for breakfast, I grabbed my bag and headed out the door. I couldn't decide between going to Kai's house or going to our usual meeting spot. I decided to just fly up to where I could see both places, and if he wasn't either walking out of his door or waiting for me down the street, I was going to his house. As soon as I unfurled my wings and took off, I was greeted with the temporary bliss of flight. But as soon as I saw both the places empty, I sped to his house, and dropped my muffin. "Crap! Now I don't have breakfast." Still kind of sad abut my muffin, I landed directly in front of his door, which apparently scared Kai, who was just getting out of the door. "What the h- oh it's just you..." He let out a huge sigh, and as I looked him over, he appeared to be perfectly fine. "How did you heal so quickly?"."Heal? From what?". "You mean... you don't remember???"."Again, what?"."Oh crap... sorry Kai can't walk with you today. I need to find Izzy."."Bu-". I lifted off again, kicking dirt into his face. "Sorry, babe!". As I flew toward Izzy's house, I wasn't prepared to crash into her, head first. "Crap.... Rose that really flippin' hurt."."Izzy! Are you okay?"."From the crash? Yes. From the horrible and scarring memory of your sisters being burned alive? No."."So I'm not crazy."."What do you mean? That's not something you just imagine."."I went to Kai's place. He doesn't remember a thing..."."Seriously?"."This must be Jay's fault....Jay.. I'll kill that son of a bi-.". As I began punching the thin air, Izzy had to restrain me. "Rose. Rose! That wasn't Jay. Jay doesn't remember anything like that...it can't be him...". With a large groan, I turned around to face her. "Oh, you're still stuck on him? He killed my sisters and made me think Kai was dead too! And you're telling me it wasn't him?!"."No, Rose, it wasn't him. Didn't you try to read his mind, even once? It was blank, right? That's because the Jay we saw there was a cyborg. Jay would never do that to his own brother, especially since they are the only thing they've got. Without the other, there is not life in either."."So.. that wasn't Jay?"."No, it wasn't. Not the real one. I still have no clue who runs the laboratory we were in, but I know exactly where it is."."How do you know that?"." Photographic memory."."What'd you photograph?"." The map. It had the exact coordinates on the bottom left corner."."Way to go Izzy! Wait... where's Kat?"."At home, asleep. She's just going to rest for a while, given she's totally freaked out by all the stuff in our house, wait'll she see's a Wal-Mart. The kid is going to go nuts."."Can't wait. I'll make sure to be there for that expedition."."I'll make sure you are too. I think we should do the same for a while. Still go to school and stuff, the occasional date, but from now on they need to be somewhere public, where they can't just come snatch us up like last time."."Gotcha. And we definitely need to try to be less obvious. Well, at least in my case.". Izzy looked a her watch. "Um...lets go ahead and get to school. We're only about ... 30 minutes late for homeroom."."Crap! Last one there's a rotten dragons egg!". I sped off, as usual and Izzy was right behind me. "Hey! Part dragon here!". "You're still gonna lose!"

Flames, Screams and Threats to Uphold (pt. 6)

Once again, his sinister plotting brought me too my knees. How was I supposed to choose between my best friend and her sister, and my own sisters? I couldn't bear to lose any of them. But then it hit me. Even though it would kill them, Lily and Rain would get to go home.  "I want Izzy and Kat back."."That was a fast decision. Are you sure? You would kill your own sisters in cold blood and instead save a couple of worthless chimeras?"."It's not in cold blood. I'm just sending my sisters home." Jay looked confused, but let Izzy and Kat out of the death chamber. I mouthed 'I'm sorry' to Rain and Lily, who were both crying, but they just nodded.  As soon as he pressed the button, they were both set on fire. Even though the glass was supposed to be sound proof, you could clearly hear the screams of pain. The smell of burning flesh quickly spread throughout the room, and I began to throw up. Kai, though beat up and bloody, took me into his arms. I buried my face into his chest and began sobbing, and he covered my ears to block out the cries of agony. After what seemed like hours, the screaming finally stopped. When I looked up, all that remained of my two sister, were two small piles of ash. Jay walked up to me with a needle and syringe and quietly said, "Your torture isn't over yet, my dear, but you can leave for now. I just have to knock you unconscious so you won't know how to get back to here. When you wake up, I hope to God that you remember what happened, and that your own death will be far worse." He then stuck the needle in my arm and the last thing I remember is him, sneering at me as I once again fell asleep.
   

Escapes, Rescues, and Choices to be Made (pt. 5)

We've been sitting in our prison cell for over a week. They've been feeding us, but it's just about the worst food ever. Imagine plain oatmeal, with no sugar or anything. Now picture something 10 times more flavorless and you have our feast. But thankfully, we have devised a plan. Tonight, when our usual guard fall asleep like he does every night, we're busting out. Izzy's gonna use her magic to take the keys and get us out, then I'm going to knock him out cold. Then, with the guards map, we are going to navigate our way out, rescuing whatever else they've experimented on in this place. And attempt to find Kai, unless he really is dead. At around midnight, the escape plan comenced. Once we got the map, we were amazed at how many laboratories there were in one facility. We decicded to start with the one closest to us, then make our way to each and every one. As we entered the lab, the smell of death hit us without warning. Everywhere you looked, you could see cages filled with dieing chimeras, failed experiments, and some young children. We helped out a little girl, who was about 10. She was skin and bones, and looked like she had never known any happiness. Like she had grown up here. Her hair was long and mangy, and she had wings that looked a lot like Izzy's. And the strange thing, she even had 9 tails...and dragon claws. "Izzy... you wouldn't happen to have...a sister?". "She was born after I escaped. I've never met her, and have no idea what or where she is. Why do you ask?" I brought her the child I was holding, and she reluctantly took her from my arms. The little chimera looked up, and for the first time, spoke to us. "Iz-Izabella?". Izzy looked at the child, and started crying. She hugged her sister as tight as she could, sobbing. "I won't ever let them hurt you again. I promise." Her sister, looked up and started crying too. But they were tears of relief, because she knew she would finally be safe with us. Izzy finally put her down, but still held her hand. "Can you talk?" She hid behind her sister, but poked her head out and nodded. "What is your name?"."Ka-Katrina."."That's a very pretty name, but can we call you Kat?"."Yes. That's okay. Thank you... for saving me." I looked at her and smiled. "Don't thank me just yet, Kat. We haven't escaped just yet." After releasing the other caged experiments, we began searching for Kai. There were many large rooms on the map marked as torture chambers, and if he was alive, he would be in one of them. We then decided to split up. Rain went to one room, Lily went to one, and Izzy and Kat went to another. I went to the one furthest from where we were and instructed them to all meet by that one. After about 15 minutes of scrambling through twisted hallways, I found my way to the biggest, and probably scariest torture chamber ever. It was an empty room, but I was unprepared for what was in it. Tied up in two separate chambers were my comrades Izzy and Kat is one, Lily and Rain in the other. In the middle of the room stood Jay, holding up Kai, who was bloody and looked close to passing out. "Kai! What did you do to him?!"."Oh, this is standard torture protocol here. You get beat to just shy of a bloody pulp. But, he serves no purpose to me now. Here, take him." Jay shoved him toward me, and I had to catch him before he fell to the concrete floor. "Now that you have my brother back, your next phase of torture begins. You see the two chambers your friends are in? Well, by the push of a button, the girls in one of the chambers will be set on fire, burning slowly, and eventually dying a painful death. Now, making you watch them die is only half the fun. I will be slightly kind and let you choose who lives and who dies." 

Prison Cells, Traitorous Dogs, and a Sandwich That'll Send You Flying (pt. 4)

When I woke up, I was in what seemed like a prison cell, but the bed I was on was more like a metal bench. I looked around to find Rain, Lily and Izzy trying to devise an escape plan. When I sat up, my head was greeted by the top bunk, which made a large bang I guess I'm really awake now. They looked up, and it looked like they had been crying. "What's the matter?", I asked, while sliding off the cold metal platform down to the even colder stone floor to sit with them. "Kai.. is dead.". "What? NO! HE CAN'T BE!!!" I fell to my knees, sobs shaking my whole body. They tried as hard as they could, but there was no stopping it. "Well, I guess they told you about my brother." I looked up to see Jay, standing there as if nothing had happened. "Jay! You're okay!" Izzy tried to get to him, but I held her back. "No." She looked at me, and started to tear up, so she looked down. I grabbed his shirt through the cell bars, and lifted him off the ground. "You killed... your own brother? What kind of monster are you?"."Well, obviously I'm a wolf and angel chimera, you idiot. Now, could you put me down please?" I slowly set him down, and gave him a knuckle sandwich that sent him flying through 5 really thick steel walls. He looked stunned for a second, but got back up and gave me s smirk that chilled me too the bone. "It's okay, I won't get my revenge just yet. After all, you 4 are next in line."

Wolves, Traitors and Tranquilizer Darts (pt. 3)

" Rose! Calm down! Tell me everything." I explained to him what had happened on our date from start to finish and he started to look panicked. " What did these men look like?". "They were in black, in jumpsuits I think.".
"Oh no... this is bad. Well, this is what need to happen. Turn around for a sec." I did as I was told, wondering what was going on behind me, and then I saw my own silhouette on the house across the street, surrounded by a bright light. "Okay, you can turn around." I was completely unprepared for what was behind me. Imagine a silvery white wolf-man with wings and one blue eye and one green eye. Once I snapped out of his hypnotizing eye-gaze, I realized I had him yelling, trying to bring me back down to Earth. "What now, Jay? Are we just going to leave him?". "No, I can't let that happen to him again. Rose. Go get your sisters and meet me back here. I will get Izzy." I nodded and took off at my highest speed. I don't know how fast that would be in MPH, but to give you an idea I flew a mile in about 15 seconds. I sneaked in through our "sky-light", which was really just a hole in our roof caused by Hurricane Katrina. " Guys! I need both of you awake and dressed in five minutes. It's an emergency!" Lily, being the lightest sleeper ever, sat up and said, " What's the emergency?".
"Look, there's no time to explain. Up! Now!" Rain finally woke up. "It's 12:15 in the morning, what's so important that we need to be up and out the door?"."Look, if you want me to waste valuable time explaining, then fine. I was on my date with Kai, and he was kidnapped by MIB. I need you guys for a rescue mission.". That had them on there toes, and they were ready to go in three minutes. "Let's go!". We flew faster than I had on the way there back to meet up with Jay and Izzy. As we landed, we all looked around for them, wondering were they could be. "Where are those slackers? I mean come on, it's his twin brother after all, shouldn't he be the one waiting for us?". Then I saw Izzy, bruised, bleeding, crying and flying strait for us. "Izzy! What happened to you?". She couldn't even stand once she landed. Panting, she only managed to say a few words.
"Jay-traitor-need to-leave here- now." She then passed out, and before I knew it, so did Rain and Lily. Just as I noticed the tranquilizer darts, I joined the rest of them in a cold and dark nap.

Feathers, Hearts and Starry Skies (pt. 1)

After the little incident we had at school today, Kai suggested we go on a special date. Not some movie trip or fancy dinner, but an actual date. He had already planned this, for our two month anniversary, but he decided it won't hurt to celebrate two weeks early. When he came to pick me up, he had a present. A golden locket with " Rose x Kai Forever " engraved on the front. " It's beautiful.". "Glad you like it. I couldn't afford to get it engraved by a professional, so I did that myself. Now, time for the blind fold.". He covered my eyes and helped me get into his car, a gray 07' G6, and we were driving for what seemed like forever when he said, "Okay, we're here." He lead me to a seat and took off the blind fold. We were at a garden with a picnic table set up with candles, and a vase with roses, ironically my favorite flower. He then served dinner, which was none other than some spaghetti. "It's just about the only thing I can cook... I burnt the breadsticks so...". He started to blush and he got so red that he almost matched the flowers. "It's amazing, how much you doubt yourself. Can't you see how amazing you are?". The sun was setting, and we ate together in the beautiful twilight. Looking up at the beautiful moon, we caught a glimpse at an amazing sight: a shooting star. Before we knew it, there was another. Then another one. As we watched the meteor shower, he got out his camera. "Going to try to get a picture of something amazing, are we?" He looked at me, game me one of his heart melting smiles, said "Yeah, I was. But my aim was way off.", and pointed the camera at me. "That's better." Then I got a crazy idea. " You aren't afraid of heights, are you?" "No, wh-?" I unfurled my wings, flew up, swooped down and grabbed him, taking him with me into the night. "Whoa! This is awesome!!!!" We flew through clouds, getting soaked to the bone, then almost instastly drying, flying through the air currents. When we finally went back down, our peaceful date had gone horribly wrong. Waiting for us in the garden were FBI agents, sent to capture us. "Oh no, this is bad. They found me. Rose! Get out of here!". "But-". "No buts, get out of here now!"."I'm not leaving you.". "Well, I'm not giving you a choice." He yanked out a feather, which sent me into the air. "Go get Jay! He'll know what to do!" Tears partially blibding me, I flew to their house. I knocked as loud as I could. "Jay! Help! Jay!" He answered the door, he had just fell asleep, judging by the pajamas and yawns. "What is it Rose?" . "They've got Kai!".

Confusion, Decisions and the Break-up

What do you do when your boyfriend says he loves you, and even though you love him, you know there's no way you can stay with him forever? It happened at lunch, at the table under the tree where we first met. "Kai, can I talk to you?". "Of course you can. What is it?". "I- I do love you... but I can't be with you anymore. I found out that there might be a way for me to get home and-". " Just stop. I know you want to go home, but until then I want to live life to it's fullest. But I can't do that without you. So, please, just stay with me. I want to be with you forever, and I know that won't happen, so atleast stay with me as long as your here." At this point I was in tears. " Okay.". I knew for sure that from the start all I wanted was to go home, but now I'm not sure. I want to be by his side for the rest of my life. But how am I supposed to choose between family and the love of my life? I guess when the time comes, I will know what to do...
"Hey, Kai?". "Yeah Rose?". "I love you.". He looked up and smiled. "Love you too.".

Rain, Lilies, and Teary Eyes

Lately, all I've been able to think about my family. The look of horror in my mom's eyes when she saw the very first black spot, the tears in my dad's , and the fear in my sisters. I am one of three in a set of triplets. We aren't identical, but we were never apart. Rain, with her long, wavy black hair, golden feathered wings with white tips and her gray eyes with blue and green flecks. And then there's Lily, with her short, strait silver hair, gray wings with white tips, and amazing midnight blue eyes. I miss them the most. But I can't help but wonder, why only me?
If we were triplets, shouldn't it have happened to them too? I'm glad it didn't though. Earth is a cruel place, were people kill each other over trivial things. I'm sure you can imagine the horror on their faces, right? Well imagine the horror on mine when I heard them calling my name when I got home from school. I stared in disbelief, and when I reazlized I wasn't hallucinating, I ran to them, tearry eyed, without hesitation. we all hugged and started crying and when they finallt released me, all I could say was "What are you doing here?". They turned around to show me their now ebony wings.

Food, Stories and I Love You's

Well, it's been two weeks since my sisters got here, and we now all go to school together. It's also been 1 month since me and Kai got together and I was invited to eat dinner at his house. When he came to pick me up, he was kinda surprised that I lived in a foster home, but he was sweet enough not to talk about it. But he did tell me something interesting. Him and his twin brother, Jay, are both orphans. Both of his parents were soldiers in Iraq. Well, his dad was, but his mom was one of the doctors. While they were over seas, they stayed with their grandmother in her large estate and were both spoiled rotten. "That is a grandma's job, after all." he said. But when their parents died, they were devastated. The last time they had seen their parents was two years before, and they were supposed to be coming home that weekend. At this point, he watch actually crying, and I grabbed a McDonalds napkin from the lunch we had the day before and wiped his tears. He smiled and said, " Isn't it my job to do that for you?' I gave him a little kiss on the cheek. " Yeah, but doesn't mean it can't be mine, too." When we got to his house, I started to get nervous. What is his family going to think about a winged girl? He could tell I got tense, and reassured me it would be fine. " Once they get to know you better, they'll love you as much as I do." "You.... love me?" " Of course I do you idiot."  Then he kissed me. And it wasn't just one of those short, almost meaningless kisses, this one really meant something. " I love you too." When we got inside, some awesome looking spaghetti was witing for us. It was really awkward at first, but they did start to get used to me. " More sweet tea, sweetie?". "Yes, please.". "So, I finally got a girlfriend today. Her name is Izabel, but she likes to be called Izzy.". I started choking on a noodle. "You're her new boyfriend?" "Why, do you know her?" "Yea, she's my best friend, so I guess so!" Jay started laughing. " She told me to watch the look on your face when I announed it.". "I'll kill her!" After dinner, I got a heartfelt goodbye from everyone. As Kai drove me home, we talked. " So... you really love me?". " Of course I do. What's not to love?" "Can I tell you something?" "Anything." I finally explained to him why I have wings. Amazingly, he only had one question. " So.. did it hurt when you fell from heaven?". "Actually, yeah it did." With that, we said goodnight.

Secrets, Suprises, and Hope

So, it's been a couple of weeks since I met Izzy, and we have become the best of friends! She actually invited me over to her house for a sleepover. My first, real sleepover! We pretty much just drew a lot of random stuff and now have a box to keep each others drawings and notes in and we have decided that once they are completely full, we will put our boxes in a time capsule. But I finally figured out what she is. Have you ever heard of a chimera? It is a name for a creature that has traits of multiple species, like a gryphon for example. Head and wings of an eagle, body of a lion. Or they could be, for example, part human, kitsune and dragon. When she morphed from her human form to full chimera, I almost didn't believe it was her. You could still see her human features, like her long blonde hair and her face. But her eyes turn to this glowing green and you can see her dragon claws, on her feet and hands, dragon wings, her fox ears and all nine of her magical tails. I could see the whole world from home and I've never seen anything more amazing. She also showed me how powerful her magic can be, and it left me speechless. I'd love to see a regular human try to move around the stars while barely needing to concentrate. And there is a form of magic where your power comes from your voice. She sang the most beautiful tune and summoned a phoenix. As is it would compare to what she could do, I did a few tricks myself. I proved that I could talk to her not with my mouth, but with my mind. Then she asked about my wings, and I explained to her why I was here. She told me hers. She was only six. Her Father worked in a science lab that experimented with humans and animals alike. When he wasn't looking, the other scientists took her and they did to her what they did to all the other children. They beat her with clubs until she was unconcious and changed her into what she is now. When her father found out, he tryed to escape with her. She made it out, bruised and sore, but they shot him in the head before he could get out. I was in tears. We then swore to stay side by side and to help each other. I was to help her avenge her father, and she was to help me find a way back to heaven. And for the first time, I had hope that I would get to go home.

Classes, Tests and New Friends

So I guess since they were so used to doing it their whole lives, no one bothered to tell me that we had final exams next week. Even though I'm like a super genius, it would have been nice to know this sooner. As a test preparation thing, we were also assigned study partners. The girl who I got stuck with is quite strange, but she's very nice and fun to hang out with. Her name is Izabella, but ever since Twilight came out, she has insisted on being called Izzy. But I can't shake the feeling that she's not human. But she's not an angel either. Chimera maybe? I guess I'll figure it our sooner or later. But other than that, she seems perfectly normal. It has just been me , Kai, and Izzy hanging out at lunch and after school. I just hope this bliss doesn't end to quickly.

Kai, Confessions and Surprise Kisses

It's been about two months of torture with Kai when it happened. We were walking home from school together, and he was about to turn onto his street. Before he turned, he stopped. " Rose, can I ask you something?" I looked back, and smiled."Anything! What is it?" Then he started blushing, and I thought, this is it! Not even thinking to read his mind like I've done way to many times before, he finally spoke again. "Will you... be my girlfriend?" My heart felt like it was soaring, and it has actually done that before, and I practically flew into his arms and kissed him. "About time you asked, you idiot." We walked home together the next day holding hands. <3

High School, Cute Boys, and MAJOR Crushes

As a teenage outcast, I'm not really used to talking to people. But, it's not easy to stay in the shadows when you have a 7 foot wingspan. But I guess that's one way to make friends in High School. Yeah, I live in a foster home and I'm a freak, but " That's no excuse, you still have to go to school!" It's not like I need to, I mean, being an angel and all, I can already do the most complicated equations in a split second, read a 500 page long book in minutes, and name exactly where a city is, all it's major roads and tell you where city hall is down to the exact cooridinates. I guess it's just another chance to be stared at. I mean, besides my long, literally golden colered hair, aquamarine eyes, and awesome sense of fashion, te wings aren't exactly easy to hide, and even though I keep them tucked up against my back, they still... stick out. I have made one friend so far, though. He isn't exactly up to the standard of freak I've set at our high school, but he's pretty up there, even with me here. Mainly because of the short, black hair with those signature " Emo " bangs streaked with neon green, the dark hoodie, and black skinny jeans. And, man, he can wear those skinny jeans. The best part is, though, the black hair is natural, which I find hot, but his eyes. They are light blue with dark blue and black specks. I can't help but stare into his eyes when we sit together at lunch. It get's even better, though! I can read minds, because I'm just awesome like that, and he has a major crush on me too!!! The only problem is, should I wait for him to ask me out or should I ask him myself? I guess we'll see how it goes!

Heaven

Heaven. Many just picture it as some city of golden sidewalks and clouds. Well, it is pretty great, but, it's not all fun and games. You see, I'm what you guys would refer to as an angel, and yeah, I have wings. I'm a also a castaway. You see, ever since my 16th birthday, my usually white wings started turning black. They went from looking like a dalmatian to a cow within days. I would be fine normally, if they had turned light gold or baby blue. But it is believed that an angel with black wings is cursed with the spirit of a demon, so we are exiled. I now live on Earth, and if the other angels could see what was going on down here, I wouldn't be the one accused of being cursed. All the crimes that happen daily here would make most of them faint. I'm now trying the best I can to get home, no matter what it takes.
